---------------

Class Overview

The first magical class at your disposition, the Mage is available from your very first entry in the Eden Eternal world. However, entry-line does not mean weak. As you level it up, the mage becomes a really powerful DPSing machine, rarely matched by other classes thanks to its huge AoE capabilities. The mage is the most efficient crowd control class alongside the battle cleric, and can easily decimate huge groups of mobs. As for PvP, the mage is somewhat lackluster as it requires precasting to easily disable the opponent and allow for two free hits (the mage has no stun except for the lucky firebomb), but there are quite a few other tricks that the mage can pull out of his/her sleeves to even the fighting field.

Main Overview of this Build

Pros:
- Unparalleled mobbing abilities

- Huge damage output

- Can stay far away at range and pummel the enemies with spells

Cons:
- Has cast speed issue at times

- Rather fragile

- Has quite a few issues in PvP

- Very high mana drain

Class Skills Overview

Snowstorm: Your main AoE skill. You'll be using this a lot to attack huge crowds of monsters. Is also used in PvP as you can freeze your opponent and precast with this. However, be aware that the next attack automatically unfreezes your enemy.

Hellfire: A 12 second damage over time AoE, this is mostly useful in dungeons, or when you are AoE farming with a cleric. In the later case, you will be using this to pull mobs all over, as Snowstorm's freeze can be quite annoying when you're trying to pull in as many mobs as possible.

Lightning Bolt: This is an instant cast spell that does less damage than Firebomb (can be fixed via knowledge points though). The fact that it requires no cast time makes it already awesome though. The other main advantage is that when you hit someone under winterchill with this spell, you have 25% chance of knocking them down, which is equal to a 5 second stun with the enemey taking 1.5 damage. In my opinion, this makes for a great spell in PvE (versus bosses) and PvP (mostly 3vs3).

Elements Collapse: Reduces the healing of an opponent by a certain amount (depends on skill level) and reduces its fire, lightning and ice resistance by 10 (not upgradeable except via knowledge points). Useful to add more damage on bosses, or can be used if you're going for a one hit kill critical in PvP. Not worth leveling up as I mentioned earlier due to it only reducing the healing abilities of a target.

Elemental Guardian: Increases your elemental resistance by 10 and adds some elemental damage to your attacks. You can buff other people as well with it. Not worth upgrading until you've maxed your main attack skills, seeing that you only get +30ish damage every 10-15 levels. The +10 Resistance will remain the same no matter what level the skill is at. Useful when a tank is getting murdered by elemental attacks, or when you're about to fight yourself an elemental opponent.

Ice Shield: Increases your defense by a certain amount and has a chance to freeze your attackers. Helps your survive PvP duels and in solo farming, but you're usually not supposed to get hit at all... This does help though in maintaining you a few additional seconds in 1 vs 1 PvP when you're being onrushed by a Warrior or Martial Artist (not enough most of the tiem though). Leveling is optional.

Fog: Makes you go invisible and adds a really weak mana regen. Mainly useless, except that you can sneak behind people and have them lose sight of you when using this skill (make sure you remove your pet). Mostly used in PvP to get the first hit, or in Territory Wars to sneak behind enemy lines.

Extreme Magic: A buff that lasts a few seconds and can be stacked on you 3 times. At lvl 50, this can increase your magical attack for up to 5K+. Essential in PvP for your opener. If you hit a critical with this, most people will die brutally. Not much use in PvE except vs bosses that you're trying to break with lightning.

Spatial Conversion: Soul Guide without any cooldown, and the ability to teleport your teamates with you. Can save everyone a lot of walking, but can also be used to troll your friends X_X.

The Mage gains one last AoE at level 60 that is fire based and adds DoT. Not yet available.
